Appeal To Provincialism - also called the ethnocentric fallacy - is an attempt to convince the opponent to change his argument in your favour because of the belief that one should fall in with one's own kind.

examples

"You shouldn't question the war; it undermines our nation."

You should vote for Joe, he's white and you're white. We have to support our own.

You should vote for Joe, he's black and you're black. We have to support our own.

You should vote for Joe, he's Christian and you're Christian. We have to support our own.

You should vote for Joe, she's a woman and you're a woman. We have to support our own.

You should vote for Joe, he's gay and you're gay. We have to support our own.
